Brut Tradition

The terroir of La Chapelle Monthodon

Tasting note

This is a bright gold wine with a lively mousse.

On the nose, it is above all fresh and fragrant with aromas of lemon, verbena and acacia flower. The fruit has hints of red berry and stone fruit.

On the palate, the contrast of bright youthful fruit and complexity from maturation is remarkable. First, the wine is subtle, and it becomes increasingly developed.

Food pairing

What a nice wine with seafood! Shrimps, crayfish and prawns makes a lovely pairing with such a delicate touch! If you like more intense flavours, goat’s cheese tarts make a good choice. And, of course, like any good champagne, you can enjoy it for itself!

Cuvée de Réserve Brut

Elegant and full of character

Tasting note

The wine has gold hue with thin bubbles.

On the nose, it offers a wide range of aromas including Williams pear and vine peach. The hints of nut and toast come from a long ageing on fine lees.

On the palate, the mix of youthful fruit and marks of ageing is still present. There is also a nice balance of generosity and lively freshness.

Food pairing

This wine has a style made for pairing. It matches with asparagus risotto perfectly. If you are looking for something simple and tasty, a grilled mushroom salad with a touch of cream is a good option. If you like to be surprised, try Thai shrimps, this is really something special!

 The Pinot Meunier

The Pinot Meunier is the most widespread grappe in the Marne Valley. It adapts better to difficult climatic conditions for the vine. It brings to the blend roundness and fruity.

Rosé Brut

Charming rosé

Tasting note

It really looks like a fresh rose with fine bubbles in it!

The nose is a red fruit cocktail, showing hints of strawberry, raspberry and red berry in harmony.

Great finesse and delicate texture on the palate. This is really a charming wine with the typical freshness of our house.

Food pairing

Definitely, it needs something simple: a sunny terrasse with only this wine and appetizers, as an introduction to a barbecue party. Try it also with tuna ceviche. If you are a fan of spicy food, a Madras chicken is a great option.

Composition : 60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay, 10% Coteaux Champenois

“Un rosé d’assemblage mobilisant les trois cépages champenois, qui tire sa couleur rose clair d’un vin rouge vinifié sous bois. On apprécie son bouquet fin de fruits rouges et, plus encore, sa bouche gourmande et équilibrée, mise en valeur par une finale fraîche et élégante qui témoigne d’un dosage bien maîtrisé.”

The Pinot Noir

Rare in our vineyard, Pinot Noir is the dominant grape variety of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Bar. It brings to our blendings the body and the structure.

Cuvée Prestige Brut

The best expression of Chardonnay

Tasting note

The wine is pale gold with lines of fine bubbles.

On the nose, there is a mix of spring flowers, lemon and aniseed. The style is particularly fresh and lively.

The style of the house is still there with obvious freshness and complexity. The nice mousse underlines the typical chardonnay finesse. Then, the spicy notes on the finish reminds you that this wine has spent a lot of time on fine lees to gain complexity. This is a particularly elegant wine with a strong minerality.

Food pairing

If you like something simple, try grilled seabass or your best version of Cesar salad with this wine. Or, in order to enjoy its wide range of aromas, pair it with chicken Florentine recipe.
